Notebooks are required to be turned in at the end of each nine weeks. They count 20% of the math grade.
Notebooks will be required each nine weeks. Students will take notes from the Smart board. They will also be responsible to keep up with Math 4 Today we do in class each day, and any hand-outs. I will list the pages of notes taken below so that you can help your child keep his/her notebook up to date. I will also keep print-outs of the notebook pages in my room for students who have been absent. It will be their responsibility to see me when they have been absent or didn't finish a set of notes, and they need to borrow my copy. Notebooks are a large part (20%) of their grade and can tremendously help or hurt a grade. They can provide examples of math problems done in class to help you work with your child on homework as well. Be diligent in helping your child with this very important organizational skill.
Math 4 Today should begin with week 9 for the second nine weeks. I will take these home to grade on Fridays and return them on Mondays to be placed in the front pocket of the math folder.
